在国内，一到毕业季，很多学生就通关各种查重系统来得知自己essay的重复率，再进行修改降低重复，一般国内高校要求essay的重复率在20%-30%之间，如果查过30%，一般是不给与通过的。建议大家的essay重复率在20%为宜，因为各查重系统的数据会有差异。
2.国外essay重复率要求--10%以下为宜
在国外，对于essay的重复率要求比较高，比较重视学生们的写作成效，所以建议大家的essay重复率不要超过10%以上。
二、essay重复率降重技巧
1.意识改变，多样化写作
目前，各个学校老师都会提醒有关重复率的问题，所以大家在写作essay时，自己也要有意识，不要copy，建议写作的字数尽量超过原来要求的字数。有些需要引用的资料，可以用图片或者表格呈现出来，也就降低了重复的几率。
2.工具查重
检查essay重复率，建议大家用turnitin查重，对于重复的字段，可以进行删除或者替换。利用好查重工具，可以帮自己降低重复的风险。
3.同义词组替换

与conclusion意思相同的词组有很多，比如To sum up，In summary，In sum，To conclude，Allthings considered等等，大家在平时多积累，或者直接在线词典查找近义词。
(2)普遍认为
我们可以用take the attitude that, hold the view that, it is widely shared that, it is universallyacknowledged that .......这些词组替换think，让我们的essay与众不同。
(3)不需要
我们经常用unnecessary, avoidable这些词，但是想降重，可以使用hardly necessary, hardlyinevitable...这些词替换使用。
(4)举例
我们用as an example替换 for example, for instance这些大家习以为常的写法，文章就会不一样。
4.改变句子结构，短句变长句，主动变被动
想要降低essay的重复率，我们可以把简单句变成从句、虚拟语气语句、非谓语从句、被动句、倒装句等等，这样可以大大降低重复的分值。
原句: Symptoms of influenza include fever and nasal congestion.
改写句:A stuffy nose and elevated temperature are signs individuals may have the flu.
